PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Authorities in Prattville say they've arrested a man involved in a road rage case that ended with another man being shot.

David Wayne Anderson, 64, was charged with assault in the first degree. More charges could be pending but depend on the victim's injuries.

The incident started on Memorial Drive Friday afternoon, according to Police Chief Mark Thompson.

Both drivers continued onto Greencrest Lane where Chief Thompson says an altercation led to the shooting.

Anderson was taken into custody and transported to City Hall where he was questioned and charged.

The victim, identified only as a male, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. The severity of the injuries was not immediately known.
