MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The horrific tornadoes that ripped through Oklahoma this week bring back all too familiar memories for Alabamians as memories of April 27, 2011 are still fresh in many minds.

When Alabamians were in need the borders for states was blurred and help came far and wide as those outside Alabama raised their hand and opened their wallets to help.

Wednesday of this week - May 22nd, WSFA 12 News will be partnering with the American Red Cross and will conduct a Disaster Relief Drive benefiting those in need in the state of Oklahoma.  We will be on air live from 11am to 12:30pm and again from 4pm to 6:30pm.

We Alabamians have a chance to do our part and pay back the generosity to those people who helped us following April 27th.  Please do what you can.
