MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

WSFA 12 News is closely following developments related to a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night.

Investigators responded to the scene of the shooting at the corner of Brookview Drive at Dyas Drive. There's a wrecked vehicle at the scene, but authorities have released very little information.

Also, Montgomery police have not officially classified this case as a homicide, instead continuing to call it a "death investigation".

A short time after the shooting and approximately one mile away on Conrad Street, more than a dozen police cars could be seen, along with SWAT units focusing on a single residence. SWAT could be heard over loud speakers ordering those inside to come out and put their weapons down.

MPD spokeswoman Lt. Regina Duckett told WSFA 12 News they received a report that the suspects from the fatal shooting were in the area near the house but could not confirm they were there. She said no arrests have been made.

Officers and SWAT ultimately left the Conrad Street scene without a suspect/s.

WSFA 12 News has a crew working this developing story. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
