GRANDVIEW, MO (KCTV) -

Police are investigating after they said a man tried to abduct a woman from a Grandview home.

The incident happened Friday about 11:20 p.m. at East 129th Street, just east of US-71 Frontage Road.

They said a man put the woman in a car and tried to drive off. The victim was able to jump from the moving vehicle before it left the parking lot and police said she escaped by running to another home for help.

Police are still looking for the suspect.

The man is described as in his early 30s, short with a thin build. He is balding on top with black hair on the sides. The car he was driving is described as an older burgundy four-door with Missouri license plate No. HF0-T4Y.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or vehicle is urged to contact the Crime Stoppers Greater Kansas City TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
