CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
19 Action News has learned, an attorney has picked up one of the pets taken from the home of Ariel Castro for one of the missing women found alive there.
The others will be put up for adoption.
We're told a terrier-poodle mix was picked up for Gina DeJesus, and the other women have declined an offer to adopt the pets.
19 Action News first revealed three small dogs were taken from Castro, the man accused of holding three women and a child hostage for years--sexually abusing the women.
The other two dogs--another terrier-poodle mix and a Chihuahua. They spent a few days at the Cleveland City Kennels, and they then went to a dog rescue facility as authorities gave the woman a chance to decide if they wanted the dogs.
The dog rescue facility will adopt out the remaining dogs, click here for information.
