NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police tracked a package full of marijuana and it led to a major drug bust.

Police took eight people into custody at a home in Antioch.

Authorities put a tracking device on the package, which was delivered to 5113 Countryside Drive.

John Farmer answered the door and accepted a package that had three pounds of marijuana, worth thousands of dollars.  Once inside, police found four additional pounds of weed.

Seven other suspects are accused in the case:

  • Larod Hughes
  • Calvin Roberts
  • Crystal Inthirakod
  • Terris Smith
  • Curtis Goodwin
  • Adrian Booker
  • Jeshua Eddy

Police said several of the suspects tried running from the home. One person is accused of trying to fight with officers.

Despite their efforts to get away, all of them were eventually apprehended. In all, nine felony drug charges were handed out to the suspects.
