OPELIKA, AL (WSFA) -

More jobs and more money are on their way to Opelika on the heels of the announcement that Mando America is expanding again.

Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller announced that Mando America Corporation (MAC) will be adding an additional $35 Million for equipment and building improvements at their North American Headquarters over the next three years.

With that expansion comes the promise of 67 more jobs.

Mayor Fuller added that this will bring MAC's total investment in Opelika to more than $190 Million - they will employ nearly 700 people when the expansion is complete. '

"We are extremely honored by Mando's continued confidence in Opelika and the additional investment in our area," said Mayor Fuller. "This company is one of our largest manufacturing employers and we appreciate the employment opportunities for our citizens."

Mando's Opelika plant produces brake corner modules, brake calipers, suspension modules and steering systems.

Headquartered in Korea, the company operates 17 production plants and 8 R&D centers in 10 countries. Mando employs over 7,500 associates worldwide.
