NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police said a 60-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car in Madison Wednesday night.

The crash occurred on South Gallatin Pike near Palestine Avenue around 10 p.m.

Investigators said a Toyota Camry was traveling north when it hit the man, James C. Grace, who was crossing Gallatin Pike in an area where there wasn't a crosswalk.

Grace was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

There is no evidence of alcohol involvement on the part of Grace or the driver.
