Ramp collapse sends AUM custodial workers to hospital

Two Auburn University Montgomery custodial workers were transported to the hospital after a trailer ramp collapsed early Thursday morning.

Ricky Adams, AUM Public Safety Director, tells WSFA that emergency officials responded after three custodial workers fell, approximately five feet to the ground, through a ramp leading to the Building Services annex.

Two of the workers were transported to the hospital with injuries that required additional medical attention and one transported by private vehicle.

The AUM Office of Public Safety/Risk Management is investigating the accident.
