Administrator no longer employed by South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Former compliance director Jennifer Stiles who was involved in South Carolina's 2010 NCAA infractions case is no longer employed by the university.

The NCAA determined Stiles' assessment allowing 10 football players and two women's track athletes to live in a hotel at a reduced rate was flawed. The NCAA found the school failed to monitor its athletic program as athletes received $59,000 in impermissible benefits.

The NCAA said $47,000 of that came from athletes living at The Whitney Hotel for at a rate of $14.95 each they should've been charged $57 for a two-bedroom suite.

Stiles was demoted in 2011, but remained on the compliance staff under Chris Rogers.

Athletic spokesman Steve Fink confirmed Stiles' departure, but would not give additional details, saying it a personnel matter.
