UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting in University Heights.

One man was shot in a home in the 2900 block of West McMicken Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Authorities say that Derek Garland, 33, was shot on the stairs of his home

Police have made an arrest in the murder.

Timothy Huff, 24, has been arrested and is being charged with one count of murder.
