Police investigating fatal shooting in Kennedy Hts.

Dominque Hall Dominque Hall
KENNEDY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) -

Police continue to investigate a shooting in Kennedy Heights Wednesday evening, leaving one person dead and another injured.

Authorities responded to the 6000 block of Kennedy Avenue around 6:00 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The first victim, identified as 22-year-old Dominque Hall, died from his injuries.

The second victim, who is not being identified at this time, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for the occupants of a gold or tan 2009-2010 Toyota. The vehicle is believed to have been used by two male suspects to escape the scene of the crime.

On Thursday, Kennedy Heights Community Council president Michelle Dillingham released a statement on the shooting:

"Yesterday the neighborhood of Kennedy Heights had a fatal shooting in our park. Today I am calling out for our community, and friends of the community to not be deterred in coming out to a musical event we already had planned at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center.

"It is important that we not let gun violence take away the spirit of hope our neighborhood has, and the years of investment and dedication so many stakeholders to Kennedy Heights have made to our community that makes it the special place that it is."

Investigators are looking for a gold or tan 2009-2010 Toyota vehicle, which the suspects drove from the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
