Even before Frances hit Alabama, the storm led to at least one death in the state. A Florida boy fleeing the storm with his family was killed in a car accident Sunday morning. It happened in Macon County.

The sheriff's department tells WSFA 12 News that the family was driving on Highway 80 near Tuskegee when another car forced them off the road. 12-year-old Tyler Dorang of Titusville, Florida was killed. The driver of the other car sustained minor injuries.

Titusville is located about forty miles outside of Orlando.
