    A Montgomery student hit by a car after school is showing signs of improvement after weeks in the hospital. The community has rallied around his family as he continues to heal. The accident outside Capitol Heights Middle School in Montgomery shed more light on safety concerns for students in the area. More >>

The Auburn Police Division will be conducting two enforcement checkpoints on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. 

Officers will be on South College Street near Lee Road 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on West Longleaf Drive near Cox Road from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Officers will be requesting driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration of motorists at these checkpoints.  Seatbelt and child restraint usage will also be checked. 

This enforcement activity is being conducted in cooperation with the Central Alabama Highway Safety Office and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
