MT. ADAMS, OH (FOX19) -

Police were called to an accident in Eden Park Thursday afternoon, leaving one person dead and another injured.

It happened on in the 900 block of Mt. Adams Circle just before 4 p.m.

Police say 47-year-old Dave Riesenbeck was driving eastbound on Mt. Adams Circle, when he suffered a medical episode, lost control of his vehicle and drove over an embankment. His car landed approximately 69 feet downhill.

Riesenbeck was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in serious condition.

His mother, 85-year-old Jeanne Riesenbeck, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

Jeanne was the sister of the late City Councilman David Crowley. Their family owns the Highland House Cafe in Mt. Adams.

Police say she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

Authorities are continuing to investigate. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit at (513) 352-2514.
