Walbridge, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Walbridge police are now using social media to try to catch criminals. They're posting mug shots of criminals with arrest warrants on Facebook, calling it the "Walbridge Most Wanted."

And police say they've seen an increase in getting criminals off the streets since they started posting to Facebook. Walbridge residents like the system, too.

"It's wonderful. How else do you know there's crime?" said Kathy Pfister. "This way, we know what they look like if they're out and about, so if they're in your neighborhood, you can see them."

One photo posted on Facebook is of Clint Hill, who police say is extremely dangerous. He's wanted for felony domestic violence after police say he beat a pregnant woman. He's also wanted for felony abduction, theft, and aggravated trespassing.

"We need an extra set of eyes out there looking for the people," said Matt Simon, police captain. "Police need the help of citizens to help us do our job, to help us keep them safe."

The post has received several hundred shares on Facebook. Police say they've received numerous tips about Hill's possible whereabouts, and that it's only a matter of time before he's behind bars.
