Kenton County Police are investigating human remains found in Kenton County.
Officers were called Thursday to investigate the discovery of apparent human remains in the 3900 block of Conley Road in Morningview, near a creek. A person clearing bush and growth from a hillside discovered what he thought was a human skull.
In searching the area, investigators found remains, along with some clothing and a wallet. Police say the wallet contained the driver's license of Charles
The Kenton County Police Department had an active missing person case for Griffith, who was considered endangered missing because of a medical condition.
He was last seen in the Visalia area on June 16, 2011. According to police, the investigation into his disappearance did not appear suspicious.
A positive identification of the remains has not yet been made. It will be handled by the medical examiner's office. Authorities say it could take weeks.
