50 arrested in TPD Gang Task Force sweep

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Toledo Police Gang Task Force combined forces with other local and national authorities to complete a successful sweep throughout the city of Toledo Friday.

The following helped conduct the sweep at multiple locations:

-Lucas, Wood and Ottawa Sheriff's Departments

-SWAT

-Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

-Field Operations

-Vice Narcotics

-Lucas County Adult Parole

Their mission was to reduce gang and gun violence by proactive patrol and execution of search warrants.

Results from the sweep:

-50 arrested

-12 felony on-view arrests
-5 felony warrants

-39 misdemeanor on-view arrests
-133 misdemeanor warrants

-102 traffic citations

-2 guns seized (1 handgun, 1 rifle)

-$1,155 in marijuana seized
-$1,820 in cocaine seized
-$970 in other drugs seized

-$0 in cash seized
