CARTHAGE, OH (FOX19) -

Have you ever partied in a junk yard? That's exactly what happened Monday at U-Pull-&-Pay in Carthage.

The self-serve used auto parts store, located at 426 Seymour Avenue, held a community day.

Area residents brought their own tools and could take any car parts needed for a discounted price. All admission proceeds were donated to the Carthage Civic League.

A free cookout was also held with donations accepted for the Carthage Civic League food pantry.

The Elmwood Fire Department was also offered auto safety tips and on-site demonstrations of emergency auto extraction.

State Representatives Alicia Reece and Dale Mallory, in addition to State Senator Eric Kearney were all in attendance.

U-Pull-&-Pay has over 1,000 junked cars and trucks the community can remove parts from.
