July 3, 2013 - Festival of Freedom: A Celebration of God and Country at First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge on Convention Street in Baton Rouge. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. The event is free. An offering will be collected to assist military families of Louisiana.
July 3, 2013 - Kenilworth Independence Day Parade - Kenilworth Neighborhood on Kenilworth Parkway in Baton Rouge, LA 70808. The events are from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Kenilworth honors those who serve in our nation's armed forces with their parade. "Hometown Heroes" is their parade theme. Grand Marshall is Collis Temple, Jr, former LSU basketball great and BR civic leader. Thousands of spectators enjoy this event, showered with beads, trinkets, and candy by the many parade participants as all celebrate our nation's birthday.
July 4, 2013 - Master P at Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $30.This event is 18 and over. Any Ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 18 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. July 4, 2013 - L'Auberge Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza – L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge, 777 L'Auberge Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70820. Join L'Auberge Baton Rouge and Eagle 98.1 for a free fireworks show over the Mississippi River beginning at 9:30 p.m. The lawn will be open up for family friendly viewing. Taco de paco and a beer truck will be on the lawn from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Viewing for customers 21 years and up will be on the Edge patio. Head to the rooftop pool for Sunset Society featuring music by DJ Triz-A and specialty cocktails beginning at 6pm. Visit Edge Bar, just off the casino floor, for live music by Soul Jukeboxx beginning at 8pm.
July 4, 2013 - USS KIDD: Star-Spangled Celebration - USS KIDD Veterans Memorial & Museum
305 N River Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70801 from Noon until 9:30 p.m. Join us for food, fun, and fireworks as the USS KIDD celebrates Independence Day. The day starts off with food and drink booths opening at 12:00 noon, followed by live music, a mock air attack on the KIDD, and much more! Then wrap up the night with a spectacular fireworks display over the Mississippi River.
Jul 4, 2013 - Celebrate the 4th of July with the LSU Museum of Art and Tsunami - 100 Lafayette Street in Baton Rouge, LA 70801. Join the LSU Museum of Art and Tsunami from 7-10 on the Sixth Floor Terrace for our annual 4th of July fundraiser. July 6, 2013 - Red, White and Zoo – The event will be held at the Zoo located at 3601 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70807 from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Visit the Zoo and celebrate our red, white and blue animal friends. June 30, 2013 - July 4th in Springfield: Historic Town of Springfield. The town will celebrate the Fourth of July with an antique car show in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot, 31660 La. 22; a Jeep 4x4 Show in the Springfield Drug Store parking lot, 31696 La. 22; and a Motorcycle Show between the Springfield Drug Store and Ace Hardware, 31718 La. 22. All shows will start at 5 p.m. The celebration will also have a Duck Dynasty Look-a-Like Contest at 7 p.m. near the Antique Car Show and a silent auction from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Winners of auction items must be present. The celebration will end with fireworks at 9 p.m. in Fayard's Field, on La. 1037.
July 4, 2013 - Red, White & Blue Day: The Livingston Parish Veterans Association invites the public to Red, White & Blue Day at Sidney Hutchinson Park in Walker on July 4. Bring your own lawn chairs. The dedication ceremony with Chairman Lynn King and Sammi Rushing performing will be held at 1 p.m. at the pavilion. Field activities such as baseball games, sack races and tug of war will begin at 10 a.m. Food will be offered at 11 a.m. including shrimp, crawfish, hamburgers and more. July 4, 2013 - Town of Livingston annual July 4th celebration at Circle Drive Park. The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m. There will be rides, watermelon, kiddie games, music and fireworks.
July 4, 2013 - The best view anywhere in the Baton Rouge area for 4th. of July fireworks on the Mississippi River. It is held July 4th in downtown Port Allen at the Riverfront on the Mississippi River Levee. The fun starts annually at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m.. Free to the public and includes face painting, magicians, clowns and space walks for the children. Beverage & food vendors line the levee for all to enjoy. Live entertainment with several local bands allows the crowds plenty of dance music to enjoy before and after the spectacular fireworks show on the river. Click on file below for more information.
July 3, 2013 - Fireworks on the River in Donaldsonville, La. The event is from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Crescent Park. Music by The Avenue Cruisers. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Bring a lawnchair. No coolers allowed. Food and drinks are available at the event.
