Troup County man arrested in massive Marijuana bust

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -

Kenneth Palmer, 57, has been arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

On Wednesday, June 26, Drug Agents with the Troup County Sheriff's Office, assisting the Govenor's Drug Task, were flying over the Troup County area looking for outdoor Marijuana grows.

The Agents originally spotted several plants growing in a wooded area off of Tucker Circle.

Ground units responding to this location found seven Marijuana plants.

After obtaining and executing a search warrant for Palmer's possible place of residence at 188 Cannonville Road in LaGrange, the Agents found 32 Marijuana plants in several locations behind the residence. Within the residence were seven firearms and two bags of Marijuana.

Another shotgun was found in Palmer's truck at the time of his contact with the Agents.
