MIDLAND CITY, AL (WSFA) -

Law enforcement agents working on information that a large amount of marijuana plants were being produced at a Midland City home obtained a warrant and seized the illegal drugs and other items.

The investigation began on June 26 and focused on a house on Dale County Road 63. While observing the house, investigators noticed several marijuana plants outside on the property.

Armed with a warrant, the agents moved into the house and found more than 550 marijuana plants, multiple firearms, drug manufacturing equipment and drug paraphernalia.

The homeowner was later identified as Richard Bryan Parrish. He's currently wanted by the Wiregrass Violent Crime Drug Task Force for trafficking marijuana and for violations after being forbidden to carry a pistol.

Anyone with information that could help catch Parrish is asked to call Dale County E911 at 334-774-5111, the Dale County Sheriff's Office at 334-774-2335/3114, or the Wiregrass Violent Crime Drug Task Force at 334-774-0482.
