Storms and flooding caused multiple road closures Tuesday across the Tri-state.

Traffic is flowing again on Columbia Parkway after a mudslide halted traffic. The roadway was initially closed to through traffic but has since re-opened.

The westbound side of the 4500 block of River Road in the River side neighborhood was closed due to high water. The eastbound side remained open to traffic as crews worked for hours to clear debris from the road. The road was back open by 9 a.m.

A tree fell over in South Fairmount knocking down power lines. It happened near the intersection of Sutter and Beekman. At one point, about 1,000 customers were left without power.

In addition to the reported trouble spots, drivers are reminded to stay alert for developing road hazards. If you see a hazard, call 591-600 to report them.
