The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in one fatality. The crash occurred at about 23:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, in the 3400 block of Old Hayneville Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Benjamin Boni Vazquez, 28, of Montgomery was pronounced dead on the scene. MPD's investigation indicates the vehicle, a 2005 Jeep Ford Explorer, lost control and made contact with an intact utility pole.
