Single-vehicle crash claims life of Helfin man

Alabama State Troopers report that a single-vehicle crash occurred Thursday at 3:40 p.m., on U.S. 431, 10 miles south of Wedowee. The crash claimed the life of Heflin resident Robert Pesnell, 55.

Pesnell was killed when the 2004 GMC pickup that he was dribing left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Pesnell was not wearing a seat belt.

No additional details are available at this time. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate this crash.
