AJO, AZ (CBS5) -

Authorities say they are investigating three men found dead in the desert north of Ajo, AZ, on Friday.

CBP Air and Marine agents flying near Childs Mountain discovered the bodies and border patrol agents were dispatched to the area of Range Road and SR 85, near mile post 32.

CBP said they believe the three men died from exposure.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office responded and is the lead investigative agency, CBP said. MCSO said it is believed that they had been dead for at least a week.

Agents found four bundles of abandoned marijuana nearby.
