UPDATE: Parasailing accident victims still in hospital

Panama City, FL (CNN) - Two teens are still in the hospital after a terrifying parasailing accident in Panama City, Florida this week. Now we're learning that it wasn't the first accident for the company that operated the attraction.

No matter how many times you see the cell phone video, it's still painful to watch. 17-year-olds Alexis Fairchild and Sidney Good were taking the parasailing ride Monday when the tow rope snapped. The wind gusts swept them into two condominium buildings, then dropped them into a parking lot.

Both teens suffered severe brain trauma, back injuries and, for Sidney Good, a broken neck.

According to Panama City's NBC station, WJHG-TV, the parasailing company - Aquatic Adventures - has had problems before.

"The case involving the two girls from Indiana who were hurt is strikingly similar to the case I have against this company," said personal injury lawyer Wes Pittman.

Pittman says his two clients' tow cable also came loose while they were parasailing with Aquatic Adventures in 2009. Luckily, they landed in the ocean.

Aquatic Adventures released a statement after the accident, saying "While we adhere to best practices to minimize the risk associated with water sport activities, sudden weather conditions can and do occur."

The teens' families said Friday that Sidney Good is still in critical condition, but Alexis Fairchild is stable and able to walk short distances with a walker.

"When she was walking to one of her therapy sessions, she was walking past Sidney's room and was able to walk in, say hi, hold her hand," Fairchild's father said. "Sidney was able to raise her hand. It was a great moment."

Aquatic Adventures has one of the largest parasail fleets in the country. The US Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating the cause of the accident.
