GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Authorities have released the identity of the two suspects involved in a Gregg County manhunt Monday morning.

According to Gregg County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Kindrex Lydell Richards was captured after fleeing into a wooded cemetery in Gregg County after DPS stopped his vehicle.  The passenger of that vehicle, 24-year-old Samantha Shunta Johnson, was also taken into custody.

Richards is being charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana. His bond has been set at $17,500. Johnson faces one charge of possession of marijuana. Her bond has been set at $15,000. As of Tuesday, both suspects remain in Gregg County Jail

Kilgore police, along with Gregg County sheriff deputies and DPS officers, searched in and around the Smith Family Cemetery and landfill in the county. The cemetery is located at FM 1252 near Highway 42.

Gregg County Sheriff's Department's Lieutenant David Taylor said that after a traffic stop on Interstate 20, the male suspect fled the scene, barefoot, into the woods.
