OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

A 23-year-old woman is accused of leaving her two young children inside her car while she went shopping at an area Walmart.

Overland Park police confirmed Monday night that Breonna Schiele, of Kansas City, faces two counts of child endangerment.

The woman was arrested while shopping at the Walmart at 157th Street and Metcalf Avenue. This occurred Sunday afternoon.

Officer Michelle Koos said the children, ages 5 and 3 years old, were left alone for at least half an hour.

Schiele was in Johnson County court on Monday afternoon in connection with the charges.
