Lebanon racino hiring 300 at job fair

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A new racino under construction in Lebanon looking to hire employees so they are holding a series of job fairs this month.

The Miami Valley Gaming & Racing racino says it has hired nearly 300 people but wants to hire nearly 300 more.

The company says the jobs at the Warren County track range from food and beverage service to finance, human resources and marketing.

The $175 million project includes a harness-racing track and 186,000-square-foot facility with slots-like gaming. It opens Dec. 12.

Job seekers have a variety of locations to apply. Here's a list of September's job fairs.

  • Monday, September 9 from 12:30pm to 4pm at Clermont County Workforce One, 756 Old ST RT 74, Cincinnati OH 45245
  • Saturdays, September 14, 21 & 28 from 2pm to 5pm at Lebanon Raceway, 665 N Broadway Street, Lebanon, OH 45036
  • Wednesday, September 18 from 10am to 2pm at Sinclair College, Conference Center Building 12, 444 W 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45402
  • Tuesday, September 24 from noon to 4pm at Dayton Convention Center, 22 East 5th Street, Dayton, OH 45402

The current Lebanon Raceway at the Warren County Fairgrounds will continue operating until the new racino opens.

Two racinos are already operating in Ohio, with several others under construction. New gambling rules allowed the state's horse tracks to add the gambling machines.
