NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

There were plenty of hugs and even some tears Wednesday at Nashville International Airport as a plane full of soldiers arrived back home.

A person can be measured by the price of his absence, and many of the troops felt the full weight of their worth as they put down their weapons and picked up their children.

Hannah Lawrence wore a handmade camouflage jumper to greet her father. She is 6 months old, and her dad has been gone for nine months.

They had never touched before Wednesday.

"I'm your daddy. I waited a long time. You're pretty," said proud dad Nathan Lawrence.

The 304th Army MP Reserve Unit returned from a deployment to Kyrgyzstan.
