Man found shot dead in car in east KC

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating after they found a man shot dead in a car.

Police were called about 2:20 a.m. Thursday to East 20th Street and Denver Avenue in regard to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a maroon vehicle had wrecked into a large storage container.

Inside the vehicle, they discovered a man who appeared to have been shot to death.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicates a witness saw the vehicle involved in an interaction with another person before to hearing a gunshot and observing the crash.

There is no suspect information available at the this time.
