KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Three accused shoplifters are in custody after they stole clothing and led police on a chase from Shawnee across the state line to Kansas City.

The chase began during the lunch hour Friday when officers saw the suspect leave the Burlington Coat Factory in the 6400 block of Quivira Road. Police chased the blue van along Shawnee Mission Parkway to Interstate 435 to Interstate 35. During the chase, the driver of the van rammed a police car.

The chase eventually wound north on I-35 to the area of Southwest Boulevard. The chase ended just before 1 p.m. at West 26th Street and West Pennway.

No one was injured during the chase. Police are still investigating and no charges have been filed.

A woman was driving the blue van. She was taken into custody along with two others. A short foot chase was needed to get all the suspects in custody, police said.

Clothing items were found in the van.
