A Cuyahoga Falls woman has died after police say her husband beat her.

According to Akron Police, Robert H. Tucker III went to his wife's relative's house where she was visiting on Sunday and demanded that she leave with him.

Police say Tucker entered the home with a handgun and pulled his wife, Kyndall D. Tucker, 26, out by her hair.

Tucker reportedly punched his wife in the face several times and tried to force her into the trunk of his Ford Taurus. Tucker was eventually able to get his wife in the front seat and drive off.

Police say he crashed his car into a tree in the 1600 block of Manchester Road. After punching his wife several more times in the face, police say Tucker fled the scene on foot.

Tucker was transported to Akron General Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Tucker has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated burglary, domestic violence and weapons under disability. The Summit County Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy, and police say additional charges could be filed.
