NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Metro Council is set to consider a couple of big money deals at its regular meeting Tuesday evening.

The first is the bond issue for redevelopment at the former Hickory Hollow Mall.

City leaders and the Metropolitan Sports Authority want to turn part of the building, now known as the Global Mall at the Crossings, into an ice hockey and skating rink.

The site will also be home to an expanded library, community center and park space.

And the second item to watch is a big move for several million dollars as Mayor Karl Dean wants to shift $7 million in federal flood recovery money that is not being used into a proposed development on the west side of the riverfront.
