Thief wearing pantyhose robs west Nashville gas station

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A gunman robbed a gas station Wednesday night in west Nashville and forced the clerk into a restroom.

The incident occurred at a Shell station located at 6012 Charlotte Pike around 10:25 p.m.

Police said a man armed with a handgun with pantyhose on his head entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk complied and the robber took all of the money from the cash register. The robber then made the clerk go into the bathroom before he fled from the business.

It's unclear if he left in on foot or in a vehicle. The clerk was not injured.

The robber is described as a black male, 5' 3" and about 130 pounds with crooked teeth and armed with a black handgun.
