MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The victim in Wednesday's homicide, Montgomery's 31st of the year, has been identified as 33-year-old Neal Jackson of Montgomery.

The victim's girlfriend, 36-year-old Tonya Moore, was charged with Murder in the shooting death of Jackson.

On Wednesday at about 8 p.m. Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responded to the 200 block of Park Manor Drive on a report of a subject shot. There they located Jackson, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested Moore after an the initial investigation indicated that the couple was involved in an altercation that escalated and resulted in the victim's death.

Moore was taken into custody at the scene and was charged with one count of murder. Following her arrest, she was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where she is being held under a $75,000 bond.
