TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Police say a driver, who may have been drunk, hit a state trooper's vehicle during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

It happened near the intersection of Byrne Road and Mercer Avenue in South Toledo.

While the trooper was pulled off to the side of the road for a traffic stop, police say a man driving a pickup truck slammed into the back of the patrol car.

The driver of the pickup truck was given a sobriety test at the scene and later arrested. Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the accident.

No one was injured.
