FREDONIA, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

Authorities are identifying the Thailand couple killed, when lightning struck near a scenic overlook in northern Arizona.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office said it received confirmation from the Thailand Embassy that family members of the victims were notified, and they released the names of the victims, Aram Kawewong and his wife, Ratchaya Tantranon, both 20.

Sheriff's deputies said a lightning bolt struck about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the area of the LeFevre Scenic Outlook on Highway 89A some eight miles north of Jacobs Lake.

The couple, from Chiang-Mai Thailand, were in a group of people at the overlook, and were pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff's officials released a photo of the site on Wednesday.

A boy not associated with the other two victims was treated, and is expected to be OK. His identity is not being released at this time.
