CHICOPEE, MA (WSHM) -

Chicopee police continue to investigate a stabbing early Thursday morning that resulted in two arrests and a stolen snow blower.

Police said they responded to a call of a man being stabbed on Rivers Avenue around 3 a.m.

While officers did not find the people involved right away, they eventually discovered three men, including the stabbing victim, pushing a snow blower that was allegedly stolen from a home on Nash Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a leg wound that police described as a minor injury.

After further investigation, police concluded Richard Letendre was the stabbing suspect.

The 40-year-old Chicopee resident was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as breaking and entering a dwelling at night and larceny.

The third man, Andzej Syrek of New Britain, CT, was also arrested and charged with breaking and entering a dwelling at night and larceny.

Police said alcohol was a factor with the incident, which remains under investigation.
