TROUTDALE, OR (KPTV) -

An 18-year-old man fell to 20 to 30 feet, then tumbled another 100 feet from a cliff at Lewis and Clark State Park on Tuesday.

Rescuers reached the man around 10 a.m. He was conscious, alert and oriented, according to fire officials. The man did not suffer any major injuries.

Multnomah County deputies said a LifeFlight helicopter was called in and landed at the park, which is located on the east end of Troutdale. It took the man to a Portland hospital.

Rescue teams used ropes to reach the man and bring him to safety.

Fire officials said the man was at the park because he was camping with friends.
