Portion of Duck Creed Rd to close for remainder of 2013

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) -

Traffic delays are expected in the Ridge Road/Duck Creek Road area due to ongoing construction of the Kennedy Connector project.

Officials say Duck Creek Road is closed between Ridge Road and Kennedy Avenue. This area will remain closed for the rest of 2013.

As a result, delays are expected on Ridge Road, specifically between Highland Avenue and Madison Road.

As part of the Kennedy Connector project, a new roadway will be created connecting the Kennedy and Duck Creek intersection to the Madison and Camberwell intersection, with new roads to I-71 south and the Norwood Lateral.

The following detours are suggested:

To access I-71 from south of Madison Road, drivers should head east on Madison Road to the Red Bank Expressway. Travel north on Red Bank to access I-71 north or I-71 south.

To access I-71 from north of Highland Avenue, head east on Highland, then south onto Kennedy Avenue. From Kennedy, head east on to Duck Creek Road and follow to Red Bank Expressway. Travel north on Red Bank to I-71 north or I-71 south.
