Falcons get kids ready for back to school

JONESBORO, GA (CBS46) -

The Atlanta Falcons are helping kids get ready for class.

Wide receiver Harry Douglas joined forces with a local group to hand out backpacks.

It was one of two events hosted by Falcons players on Saturday.

Douglas, who is from Jonesboro, says the event means a lot.

"Whenever you can come back to the town you grew up in, give back and make sure the kids have the supplies they need for school...it's always great," said Douglas.

A second event was hosted in Lawrenceville with wide receiver Roddy White.
