BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

A Northern Kentucky youth sports coach has been indicted for allegedly sexually abusing six boys.

Michael Schweitzer, 46, of Hebron, is facing 14 felony charges, including three counts of sodomy, three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor and eight counts of sexual abuse.

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway made the announcement on Tuesday during a press conference at the Boone County Justice Center.

Conway says Schweitzer had several decades of contact with children.

"Michael Edward Schweitzer coached football, basketball, baseball and wrestling for 20 years," said Conway.

Schweitzer was previously arrested on June 26 for the alleged sexual molestation of a 13-year-old boy. Investigators believe Schweitzer slipped the boy a sleeping-type pill and then waited for it to take effect.

In that arrest, he was charged with with sodomy, unlawful transaction with a minor and illegal possession of a controlled substance. He has remained in custody at the Boone County Detention Center.

Conway says another five boys came forward to authorities following Schweitzer's arrest in June.  It's alleged that the abuse happened from May 2011 through June 2013.

Conway is now asking families who may have had any contact with Schweitzer to come forward.

"Have a family conversation tonight, or in the near future, and contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office if there are allegations of abuse," Conway said during Tuesday's press conference.

Attorney General Conway's Office of Special Prosecutions is handling the case at the request of Boone County Commonwealth Attorney Linda Talley Smith due to a "personal conflict."

If convicted, Schweitzer could spend up to 70 years in prison.
