CAMP COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Camp County Jude Thomas Cravey has placed Camp County under a burn ban, effective Sunday August 11th.

Jude Cravey tells KLTV that the county commissioners were planning on meeting Monday the 12th to discuss the current burn ban situation, but decided to place the county under the ban Sunday because of the number of fires across the area.

The burn ban does not have an expiration date. Judge Cravey also added that the burn ban does not prohibit outdoor grilling or welding, provided that they are not left unattended.
