TUSAYAN, AZ (CBS5) -

Two managed wildfires burning on the Kaibab National Forest have reached their planned boundaries and achieved goals fire managers had set for them.

The Cooper Fire northwest of Jacob Lake and the Skinner Fire east of Tusayan are now contained within each fire's designated planning area, fire authorities said.

Over the past several days, fire crews ignited the perimeters, removing fuels to prevent any further spread.

The two lightning-sparked fires have burned on the Kaibab National Forest over the past several weeks.

Two remaining lightning-caused fires on the Kaibab National Forest continue to burn.

The Mud Fire continues to burn. The 62-acre fire started on July 29.

The Castle Fire is at 180 acres. It's located one mile east of Big Springs Lookout.
