Valley Police search for two men who shot cashier at service station

VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -

Valley Police are investigating after a cashier at a convenience store was assaulted and shot Thursday morning.

At approximately 11:54 a.m. CST, Valley Police Department responded to a panic alarm that was set off at Triangle Service Station in Valley, Ala.

They found the cashier, identified as Chuck Hudmon, 62, on the floor suffering from a single gunshot wound. Hudmon was transferred to the George H. Lanier Hospital, where he was able to tell police that two males entered the shop and shot him. He has since been released from the hospital.

One assailant is described as a tall, muscular man wearing an orange shirt. The second man was shorter.

At this time there is no suspect vehicle.

The Valley Area Crime Stoppers are offering a $7,000 award for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspects that committed the crime.
