WETUMPKA, AL (WSFA) -

Officials say a man is dead after a drowning at Lake Jordan.

Elmore County Sheriff's say at 5:30 p.m. Thursday they responded to a call that an individual was floating in the lake near Lakeland Drive.

According to authorities, 43-year-old Byron Scott Kirkpatrick was deceased upon their arrival to the scene.

No foul play has been suspected.
