HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton man was taken into custody for allegedly carrying over a pound and a half of heroin in the car while driving his wife and two children.

Bill S. Campbell, 36, was arrested on charges of both possession of heroin and drug trafficking.

According to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, Campbell was pulled over Thursday evening on Princeton Road in Liberty Township.

Deputies say he was driving a rental vehicle with his family when they discovered the heroin inside his trunk.

Along with the heroin seizure, agents with the BURN Taskforce seized a 2004 Buick SUV and $1,500.

Campbell remains in the Butler County Jail.

Sheriff Jones said that he and his agents will continue to pursue heroin distributors in the Butler County Region.

Anyone who might have additional information on drug related crimes is asked to call the Butler County Drug Tip Line at (513) 887-3029.
