SHELBYVILLE, TN (WAFF) -

Funeral arrangements have been set for the co-pilot of UPS Flight 1354.

A memorial service for Shanda Fanning will be held Monday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Visitation begins at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m.

The 37-year-old Southern Tennessee native died Wednesday when the UPS plane she was co-piloting crashed upon landing at the Birmingham Airport. Fanning lived in Lynchburg and learned to fly in Shelbyville.

Fanning flew her first solo flight at age 16 and later piloted for President George W. Bush. She is survived by her husband of three years.

Fanning's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her honor. Details on where to send money, as well as an online memorial guestbook, are available here.
